Ocean Outfall
Ocean outfall is the treatment and subsequent discharge of wastewater directly into
the ocean. This is often accomplished by using large conduits extending out into
the ocean some distance.
Though the effluent is not inherently dangerous, the composition of the effluent
can have environmental impacts across a range of resources into which it is disposed.
With a three-decade record of safe, successful operations, deep well technology
is often the preferred alternative as regulatory agencies phase out
And with its commitment to quality and innovation, Youngquist Brothers has become
the leading contractor for drilling large-diameter, Class 1 wells.
Since the 1980s for example, numerous municipal water utilities throughout South
Florida have chosen deep well technology to discharge the nutrient-rich, freshwater

been their overwhelming choice, having drilled more than 100 Class 1 wells since
1983.
